It's Time

Image
Hello everyone and happy new year! It's been 2 months since my last post and in that time period, it hadn't been too great with where I am. I've been living in a unit in Pakenham for 2 years but it hadn't been too good in the end having to spend most time in isolation and then realising it's not a great place to meet new people. Plus, I'm having to do some decent travelling to and from work and Fountain Gate and even Melbourne. There aren't many activities and any kind of culture which I found out can bring people together and lighten up society. But other than that, I have greatly developed and it's a decent step up from where I was regionally in Neerim South. I've been able to use Pakenham's bus services which is convenient if you don't have a car or yours is out of action. I've had great take away through ordering Uber Eats. I can honestly rave about YOMG's Winner Winner Chicken burger which to me is one ultimate chicken burger and...

Five Paintings and Another Art Piece

Image
Hello again and this time, I'll focus on my art. So far, I've done 4 paintings, I've decided on doing my own art exhibition and taking on board new things being a first timer and also going to SECAN. With SECAN being the abbreviation for South East Contemporary Arts Network, it's a good avenue where I can interact with other artistic people in the outer South East of Melbourne. And also, it'll be good to rely on other people who are in the art community especially when I've had struggles to break in after approaching 2 years in my new lifestyle. But now, I want to concentrate on my fifth painting which I title Oppression Against Individuality. In this painting, I wanted to visualise what it's like to not be accepted for your unique personal appearance so I have a guy on the left with longer than usual hair and coloured red and the girl beside him with lilac coloured hair and vice versa. Both people's appearances are out of the ordinary from the general p...

A Body Filling Exercise

Image
Hello again whilst we're heading towards the end of October, there's another load I've done. On the previous week, I've bought a load of equipment from work in preparation to start flipping cars which included the following. *     Body filler *     Plastic applicator *     Sanding block *     Sandpaper sheets 240 and 800 grit *      Extendable wheel brace *     2 pairs of 1800 kg jacks *     1700 kg trolley jack But this post isn't entirely focused on any car stuff because at the weekend, I wanted to buy a foldable work bench as well. And years back, I was working on a previous art work which was laying in my parents' house. So I got my dad to help out and take the pair of shoes and the board to me as well and then, resume the project. So if you're wandering about this project, I'll give you what that was about. At the time I've bought these shoes, they were good for a few weeks until they became rubbish but inst...

Getting There

Image
Hello again. We're coming towards the end of October and I'm also in the stage I'm still having trouble making friends particularly in Pakenham so then I'm having to really get myself out there. But since the last post, I've gone to a car meet at the Sunlock Cafe in Clayton South where I've mingled with some people with success. And then recently, I went over to an opening night at the Spielzeit exhibition east of Richmond. But let's talk about the art exhibition. As I've finished a hard day at work on Friday and despite not able to order a burger meal from Carls Jr through Uber Eats not able to pick it up, I have ordered a kebab meal not too far from work and caught a train from the Dandenong railway station on my way to the exhibition. Where the exhibition is at, the Swan Street Art Studios (was called Gallery 550) is kind of an oasis for everything art but I hadn't been there for the first time. I've visited there a few times to meet some peop...

Disability My Arse

Image
Hello again. Whilst I'm pushing through with life being on hold since I've been without a car, things are shaping up. I'll be getting a new car on Thursday with a similar Ford Puma ST line, I've chatting with some people through the Facebook Messenger, gather myself for a change of course with work as later, I've decided to call other Repco stores to fill in some extra shifts. With that idea, I'm wanting to focus on gaining more counter service experience and perhaps grow elsewhere. And then, I'm wanting to concentrate on getting myself out to more people as the neighbourhood I'm currently in is next to dead. But then, I still have big visions which I want to go ahead with. I'm going on with my art building a collection of paintings to do my own exhibition and having some people help. I'm still wanting to work on cars but it's on hold until the start of next year. That time, I'll look to start flipping cars for extra money. But there'...

Bads and Goods

Image
Hello and welcome back. From the latest post, it's been a hard time since I've been involved in a crash last month as I've finished my shift at the Dandenong Repco store but if you've recently got into this blog for the first time, don't worry. I'll bring that up. It was Monday the 7th of August. I have completed my shift at this store but although I usually work 9 til 5, I've knocked off earlier as I've had my psychologist appointment. However, that hadn't gone ahead as the crash occurred. As I was attempting to drive out of the driveway from Sterling Parts where I've usually parked, I tried to enter Bennet Street safely but another car ran into me. The area was a crash scene. All the emergency services came and sorted out, both cars were towed away and I was in a state of disbelief not knowing what I'll do next. On the other hand, the staff at the store had assisted me especially an uber ride back home on my behalf. The Doveton store where ...

Latest Developments

Image
Hello and welcome back. The month is August so winter will be coming to an end for this year and I'm still moving forward despite some certain hardships getting in my way. But other than that, I've been developing my plans and purposes to blend into society. At least I haven't gone to a position of giving up as I have a few people and more to catch up but this is what's happening lately. Wellbeing First up, I've joined the Victorian Brotherhood page on Facebook as I was having trouble meeting anyone new. The Victorian Brotherhood is an organisation for prevention for male suicide and it's worthwhile as men do struggle when times are tough and I've been there before. My biggest problem in life is not able to fit in especially when I was living in Gippsland but fortunately, I've changed my life around since I've moved to Pakenham. One intriguing thing I've done on the night of Friday the 28th of July was I've participated in a Zoom conference w...
