Fixing my Astra - Part 4

Image
Hello and welcome back for more stories on getting my Astra fixed up. It's been a while since the last blog post but I've had a little awkward financial difficulty but I'm coming good again. On Tuesday the 25th of April which is ANZAC day, my grandpa was willing to give me some money to buy a new radiator for my Astra. Once I got the money, I thought of going to Repco to buy a new radiator the next day or on the afternoon. I've decided to go the afternoon whilst they're open. I first went to the Lakeside store to find out the radiator they have is for an automatic version. There are 2 types of radiators for the AH Astra as I spoke over the phone with a Repco employee which I found out along with Stu who helped me replace all the radiator hoses. But anyway, I've driven to the Clyde North store and managed to buy the right radiator along with the radiator flush and demineralised water to perform a radiator flush when the new radiator will be fitted. Fixing my Astra - Part 3

Image
Hello everyone and welcome back to when I'm working on my Astra. In the previous part, I was going to get the new radiator but I will get round to it in the next fortnight once I have more money in my bank account. This time, it's only the little things just to get out of the way before the big moment to hopefully get the car running again. I have called the Barry Bourke Berwick dealership in the spare parts department to enquire about the cover. Although there wasn't much outcome, we agreed I'll pop by providing the cover to make the job of a spare parts interpreter easier. But then, I've decided to tackle the repair myself and go from there. So with the epoxy resin glue I have, I had a go sticking the 2 pieces together then using sticky tape and taping them against the shelf and letting the glue w...

Hello everyone. I hadn't gone flipping lawn mowers lately but I've been hit with financial constraint. I was short on money for the moment but however, I came up with an idea to flip lawn mowers again and whilst making profits to weather my finances. Back last year, my dad suggested me to flip mowers. That is buying cheap ones to fix and sell. I initially used my hobby money so I won't use my normal money just to give it a go and so far, I have sold 2 I had fixed up. Although there is one lawn mower I couldn't sell because people on Facebook were wanting cheap ones. I've advertised the mower for $150 AUD but a couple are wanting to pay $100 AUD but that wouldn't cover the amount of money I've put into it. But then I've been thinking whether Facebook is not what it's cracked up to be. Are there people these days don't have any form of intelligence? This is what I'm apparently noticing lately. And it's also hard to figure out whether how ...
