What's on 2023
Hello everyone and happy new year.
I've had a good break although it was boring at times but I needed it the whole time. I'm now back at work and getting back to continuing from where I started.
In terms of friendships, I have a small social circle but hope to expand and eventually meet more people. The trouble I've experienced is a lot of people don't have a clue on how I can meet people but eventually, I found some people to talk to which I grasped onto more strategies. I can remember a colleague of mine mentioning me a good way to meet new people is to be in a schoolyard setting. So, a group of people. I've also realised meeting people on my own can be too daunting and going out with someone can be easier. That's all I've learnt so far.
Also, I'm still aiming for a $5,000 AUD budget to start my new hobby working on cars. What I'm planning to do is once I get to know someone or other people, I could hopefully share a mechanical workshop. Next, I'll buy some junk cars to strip and sell parts and if possible, fix any to a workable standard then sell. I'm intending to use eBay to sell parts. The intriguing thing when selling anything on eBay is when you're setting up a page to sell an item, you set all the details to make anything you sell more specific and point a potential buyer to the right direction.
I could sell parts on the Facebook Marketplace but then, I'll have to type in the description but my concern would be is if a part in fact doesn't match up, it'll have to be returned. By using eBay and picking the right descriptions, it would save me from big hassles. What I aim to do is make things easy for myself as possible as there are a lot of things I haven't done since my move to Pakenham.
Another interesting idea is when I'll get round to buy cars to fix and sell, I came up with an idea I could use whatever profit I'll make to go into my savings account. The bigger idea is once I have the budget, I could put my left over money aside to go towards getting a home loan deposit. Once I have the money for a home loan deposit, it'll be an ultimate ticket to be out of the rental market especially how the rental market is tight and getting tighter. I've been in a good place when I've been placed in a month by month contract with my rental and it's a good idea after all my hard work.
The thing with fixing lawn mowers to sell I found is a good exercise. This is a good idea for flipping. For those unaware, I've bought cheap lawn mowers that require repairs and when they're done, I put them up for sale in the Facebook Marketplace. I'll give you the rundown on all of the lawn movers I've sold.
Cheetah 4 Stroke lawn mower
Bought for $50 AUD
Parts cost $18.60 AUD
Total spent $68.60 AUD
Sold for $100 AUD
Profit $31.40 AUD
Billy Goat T475 lawn mower
Bought for $50 AUD
Parts cost $3.60 AUD
Total spent $53.60 AUD
Sold for $80 AUD
Profit $26.40 AUD
This is an accomplishment which is pleasing. Anyway, I'll keep going.
See you next time!
