So far

 Hello again.

Within the month, I have acquired 2 lawn mowers to fix up and sell. It's been good so far I didn't need a lot of work as I basically changed oil from 2 mowers and a few bits and bobs that I've replaced as well as degreasing them and then wash them when they're ready to be put on sale on the Facebook Marketplace.

Although I don't know much about lawn mower as opposed to cars, I have learnt new things. I'm increasingly aware of how popular brands of lawn mowers are and how easy or hard it is to access spare parts. That can determine how much I can sell them for as well as when a time comes to buy another lawn mower to be mindful on how cheap I'll be willing to pay.

So now, I'll show you the mowers.

First up is this Cheetah lawn mower which I bought from Carnegie. The seller mentioned they couldn't get it started but eventually, I got it running.

I have spent $50 AUD buying this mower and the things I've replaced is the spark plug, the oil, a fuel filter and flush fitting handle knobs. I've also bled the carburetor so it runs on fresh petrol again and rinsed the air cleaner foam as it was soaked in a bit of oil, probably why the tip of the original spark plug was black.

It's all good to go so all I need to is wash it and then it'll be on sale.

Secondly, this is a Billy Goat T475 lawn mower. I've bought this one for $50 AUD from Hampton Park, it ran but the seller wanted it gone. All I've done to it was to change the oil and spark plug. However as I've realised, these were sold from Aldi supermarkets and they don't provide spare parts. I was hoping to get a new air filter but because I couldn't do that despite trying, I've cleaned the filter using brake cleaner and put it back in.

I'm currently waiting on a replacement fuel cap which I've ordered on eBay. Earlier, I've looked around but I've taken a measurement of it's standard fuel cap then looked on eBay to hopefully find one that's the right size. The original fuel cap is cracked and replacing it with a new one would make this lawn mower more sellable.

From the $2,500 AUD I've started off, I have spent $242.07 AUD on supplies, spending money and a book and I'll need to sell 3 lawn mowers to break even. Once that's done, I'll carry on doing this but not use the money which I'll reserve for starting up on my new hobby. I agreed with my dad I can use it as a side hustle for extra money even for going out.

Well that's it for me. See you next time.
