Introduction

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog. My name is Tristan Throup and I've been starting my new life ever since my move 8 and a half months ago and eventually building myself up.

I originated from a small regional town called Neerim South which is east in the Australian town of Victoria. I have moved to Pakenham which is the outest south eastern suburb of Melbourne to start a new life. What happened was my life hadn't panned out in the end when I was living in Neerim South. I had a tough life growing up and along with personal circumstances out of my control primarily because I wasn't well understood and I felt I've been a misfit. I wanted to have friends, I wanted to get a job and do anything I can please but it didn't help with the fact I have Autism most of the local community didn't understand me.

However, I've looked outside of my then regional area where there are bigger better places to explore so I looked at Melbourne. This isn't in Florida by the way, it is Victoria's capital city renowned as the world's most liveable city. After 31 years, I've been able to find a 2 bedroom unit in Pakenham and joyed as to finally move out into a new area.

Anyway, I have brought up goals to build up my new life since I've moved out. It started off when I thought up of something in my bucket list which is to do my dream car. Then doing so got me to pursue my new hobby working on cars. These days, it's big money. Not just working on one car, I could buy up junk cars and sell parts to build up cash but I can also flip cars as well. I've realised I can see potential once I have more money like for buying my own house. I'm currently renting for the moment as I'll need $20,000 AUD for a home loan deposit.

I've spoken to many people about my ambitions particularly at work. I currently work at Repco which is Australia's long serving automotive retail company. The staff are so into cars which fit the bill and they express good understandings on the whole nature of working on cars. Although I'm not a mechanic by trade, it'll be good to take up the skill regardless.

What my objectives are is to build up money aside with the starting budget of $5,000 AUD saving me from spending money I'll be needing. I'll be seeking to share a mechanical workshop with some people. I won't be working on my own and it'll be good having other people who are way more experienced in the mechanical side of things. I'll also be researching as well because there are so many cars to get my head round as older cars are becoming collectible but they vary in many ways.

A lot of things are new along the way but it's been a gradual learning curve but I'm getting there.

My photo.

Was taken at one of my previous jobs before my move. I was posing in a Holden Sandman panel van.

The blue arrow represents where I originally lived which is Neerim South. The amber arrow represents where I currently live which is in Pakenham.

I hope you enjoy reading my first blog and hopefully you'll enjoy what I'll be doing later down the track. I am still building things up but eventually, I'll get there.
